What’s in our Natural Emergency Immune Kit

Random

Natural Immune Boosting Toolkit

What’s in my immune first aid kit?  This is the question of the year.

First off before we get into the nitty gritty, it’s important to mention that self care is one of the most nourishing things we can do for our health.  For me this includes sleep, quieting my mind, body treatments (massage, acupuncture, chiro etc) and hot baths.  These simple things are not only nourishing they’re also free!  Carving the time out for them can be the hardest but also the most rewarding.

So now onto the nitty gritty.  Here are a few things in my arsenal today:

As a prevention medicinal mushrooms are my foundation.  I take these in every form, pills, powder, tinctures and throat sprays. They are truly my favourite because every medicinal mushroom has a unique secondary quality to it.  So depending on what’s going on in my day I take one for that particular thing.

On top of that I also have vitamin A, D and C in my regime. These simple Vitamins are under loved, they’re an inexpensive option yet incredibly nourishing to the immune system.

Oh and I can’t forget about NAC.  This little fella is also under loved. It’s just a simple amino acid that happens to be a precursor to glutathione (our master antioxidant) and also supports detoxification and lung health. #TripleThreat

If I start to feel a tickle in my throat, I add Purica’s Prevail, oil of oregano and anything else I can get my hands on.

As a back up for this volatile time I’m keeping these on hand.  Colloidal silver, liposomal vitamin Cgrapefruit seed extract, echinacea, beekeeper propolis throats spray, manuka honey, lozenges, garlic and nim jiom cough syrup.

Then there’s what I put on my body.  I’m a huge fan of the SilverBiotics silver lotion right now.  It’s moisturizing and has anti-bacterial properties too.  So if I can’t get to a sink to wash my hand I’m still covered.

If I start to get an inkling I’m going to get sick, or I’m around sick people I also use the Marseilles remedy thieves oil salve on my throat, lymph glands as well as behind my ears.

Lastly as a preventative I’ll also diffuse thieves oil essential oil (more info here) throughout my house/and work (you guys are protected when you come in too). If someone in the house is sick I’ll also simmer a 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar on the stove to help keep the air clean.

And that, is my current immune support regime/emergency first aid kit.
